Capital Nurses Training Group prepares Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) for certification by the Maryland Board of Nursing so that they can work as Certified Medication Technicians in the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) system. The training program provides initial and refresher CMT courses and is led by experienced RNs serving in Prince Georges County, MD.
Capital Nurses Training Group was founded by experienced registered nurses who understand exactly what it takes to administer medication safely and confidently in group home settings. Our program is specifically tailored to prepare Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) within the Maryland DDA system for certification as Medication Technicians by the Maryland Board of Nursing.
Upon completion, Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) will gain comprehensive knowledge in administering medication and record-keeping in the group homes setting — based on actual experiences of the instructors and proven and effective practices.
Led by registered nurses with decades of clinical, teaching, and mentoring experience — not just classroom theory.
Built specifically for UAPs serving Maryland group homes, in line with Board of Nursing standards.
